Professional Development (PD) Seminars

Founder and CEO of Virtual VP, Paul D. Nixon is a native New Yorker and a career educator. In addition to his marriage to his beautiful wife, the former Taïna Casimir to whom he has been married for two years, Virtual VP is the newest thing in his life. He has spent over 15 years as a classroom teacher. For five of those years he also served as Vice Principal and Instructional Coach of his schools. He has worked in a total of 6 schools in both traditional settings and online, in 4 states, on 2 continents, on the primary, secondary and university levels. Paul has found high levels of success in all his endeavors as an educator. Indeed, success for an educator must be measured by student learning; it is because of the learning of his students that Paul believes he has been successful.
Paul understands that education must be differentiated for the students in the classroom: standards-based and data driven, not curriculum based and textbook driven. Paul formed Virtual VP from the belief that principals and vice principals must be the instructional leaders in their schools, and with the understanding that often the day to day operations of the schools inhibit their ability to perform that function effectively. The company focuses on helping administrators manage their workloads so the important work of leading classroom instruction is not neglected. In Virtual VP, Paul is again doing all that he can to help increase student learning in classrooms all over the United States.
